We are pleased to invite you to the scientifical conference “The protection of monuments and art trade in the European Union”. This interdisciplinary event will be the good occasion for a meeting and discussion with exeperts from the field of art trade and protection of monument not only in Poland, but in the whole European Union. The conference will focus mainly on the legal aspects of protection of monuments and art-related commerce, analysing those phenomena from the point of view of contract, criminal and administrative law. However, the general idea behind the conference is to create an enviroment for the interdisciplinary discussion between academics and practitioners of not only law, but also those who work in other fields related to the topic of conference, e.g. history of art. This invitation is open to everyone, equally as the conference will be. The program includes several experts’ panels and the separate panel for PhD candidates.
The conference is going to be organized by Center of Excellence of Jean Monnet at University of Wrocław. The venue will be Faculty of Law, Administration and Economy of the same University. The events takes off on May 18-19, 2015 at 1.45pm and 10.00am accordingly.
