Center of Excellence of Jean Monnet at University of Wrocław was created in September 2014 by the grant decision of European Commision. Within the first three months of its existence Center managed to organize the country-wide opening conference under the title “The European Union and its role as guarantee and promotor of fundamental rights”. The conference gathered the most prominent Polish experts in the field of European Union law.
Moreover, on December 17th, 2014 at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economy of University of Wrocław the student round table on the principle of primacy of the EU law over national laws was organized. CEJM has launched its teaching and researching activities also.

Name: Student Seminar “The Polish Card in the Domestic and European Legal Environment” (06.11.2014)
Description: Co-organised by the Centre of Excellence (main organizer: Student Research Group of International and European Law, functioning at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economy of University of Wrocław). The member of CEJM served there as a moderator and expert participant.
Name: National Scientific Conference “European Union as a Guarantor and Promotor of Fundamental Rights” (24-25.11.2014)
Description: The first national scientific conference organized by CEJM was held under the title “European Union as a Guarantor and Promotor of Fundamental Rights”. This was CEJM’s opening main event.
Name: Round table “Judgment over the principle of primacy of EU law over the Polish law” (17.12.2014)
Description: The round-table debate on the basic, but controversial concept related to application of EU law – and so the norm on the fundamental rights – in Poland.
